Fitness Instructor

Fitness Instructor – 35 hours per week

Sport and Active Lifestyle is a diverse and growing department, operating, maintaining and developing facilities in Chester as well as delivering services to provide sporting and physical activity opportunities to student, staff and guests of the University.

You will be based at the Exton Park, Chester site and will work as part of a team in the day to day operation of the University’s fitness/sports facilities. Responsibilities include undertaking facility inductions, personal training appointments, fitness testing/health and fitness assessment and fitness classes, as well as routine maintenance, cleaning and reception/administration duties.

You will have an NVQ, CYQ or equivalent vocational qualification at Level 2 or above in a relevant area of fitness instruction or health and fitness, and ideally a qualification to teach fitness classes. You will have experience of working within a similar health and fitness environment, be customer focused, friendly, professional and efficient with a flexible approach to work and the ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
