You will need to be a Registered Midwife on the NMC register. Experience in teaching is essential and a teaching qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) is desirable.
You will have a high level of clinical competence and credibility in a relevant area of expertise. The Faculty will support new members of staff to gain appropriate qualifications and is keen to support ongoing academic and professional development.
We also offer a robust mentorship programme for new academic staff. The Faculty has three education centres: Warrington Campus; Marris House Birkenhead, and Wheeler Campus, Chester, with an expectation of some travel between sites, but the successful applicant would be based at Chester.
