About the role:

The University of Lancashire is seeking to appoint a Student Support Advisor to join our Student Support team. They will provide a gateway into Student Services in the Student Centre at our Preston Campus by offering a single point of contact for all student related queries throughout a student’s journey.

This role is focused on helping students make the most of their university experience by providing high-quality support for all aspects of university life. You will deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with students and staff in a busy customer-facing environment.

This role involves responding to initial inquiries via telephone, email, or face-to-face interactions, providing accurate advice and guidance, and maintaining clear and detailed records. You will also promote Student Services through presentations and drop-in sessions on campus, as well as supporting key events such as open days.

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience in a busy customer facing helpdesk or similar role and the ability to provide excellent customer service by proactively collaborating with customers and colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.

GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent experiential learning are a requirement of this role.

Additional information:

You will be required to work on a rota basis, which will include some evening and weekend working.
