The Sports Service is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to assist in the delivery and execution of marketing campaigns that raise the profile of University of Cambridge Sport and deliver its commercial objectives. This role is vital to help implement our Strategy for Sport 2023-2027 for sport, physical activity and wellbeing. The role is suitable for those looking to develop their marketing and business development skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, or work with external agencies, to create campaign artwork in line with creative briefs and produce high quality copy and content for print, web and social media.
  • Engage with and attend annual events (e.g., Sports Fair, Sports Awards) and a range of University induction events.
  • Design marketing materials for national sporting campaigns.
  • Create high quality video recordings (e.g., filming member challenges and workshops with the Fitness Team) and edit content for use across multiple marketing channels.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing qualification or proven experience in marketing, communications or digital media.
  • Creativity and a passion for sport, health and fitness.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Software (or other design packages) with experience using social media, email marketing software and website content management systems.
