HR Coordinator – University of Cambridge, Department of Medicine

Join a collaborative HR team at the heart of world‑class medical research. The Department of Medicine is the largest department in the School of Clinical Medicine, supporting over 550 staff and students who deliver cutting‑edge science and clinical innovation.

We are looking for an organized and proactive HR professional who enjoys working with people and solving problems. In this varied role, you will provide friendly, accurate HR support across recruitment, payroll, and staff welfare. Reporting directly to the Department’s Senior HR Coordinator, you will work in a team of five HR professionals and line‑manage one team member, supporting their development while ensuring the team delivers outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Advising on HR policies and staff welfare.
  • Managing payroll and HR administration.
  • Line‑managing and supporting one team member.

The HR team operates hybrid working with a minimum office presence of two days per week, with flexibility for additional days as needed.
