The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the data centre infrastructure owned by the RCS. You will lead a technical team of IT professionals, including network and systems engineers, and data centre technicians, to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable, secure, and efficient. You will also be responsible for developing policies and processes for managing HPC infrastructure assets to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure that the infrastructure is supported and maintained.

We support scientists across the UK and beyond in critical research fields such as clean energy, personalised medicine and climate science and you will help us in delivering world class services., Experience managing HPC data centre infrastructure.
-Practical knowledge of data centre, storage, networking, and cooling systems.
-Experience with leading a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and data centre technicians.
-Experience with security standards and frameworks such as ISO27001
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
-Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience.
