Are you an experienced research project and events professional looking to join an award‑winning team? The Isaac Newton Institute for the mathematical sciences at the University of Cambridge is looking to appoint one or two Research Programme Administrators to help deliver INI's busy programme of research events and residential research visits. The Research Programme Administrators (RPAs) will play a pivotal role in organising a range of events, providing end to end administrative support including:

  • Coordinating event logistics and communications
  • Managing event publicity and marketing
  • Overseeing budgets and financial reporting
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for visiting researchers and attendees
  • Liaising with convenors and internal teams (AV/IT, Accommodation, Finance, Communications)

The successful candidate will have:

  • Events administration experience including use of databases/event management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Budget management experience
  • Ability to learn new electronic management systems and processes
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service

The majority of INI activities are based in the Isaac Newton Institute and Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge, but occasional travel to events hosted in other locations may be required.
