Job Type: 37.5 hours per week

Lucy Cavendish College is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Operative to join our small and friendly maintenance team. You will provide day to day support to the maintenance team, carrying out routine and emergency building, maintenance, repair and refurbishment work to College building and grounds ensuring that the highest possible standards are achieved at all times.

You will also carry out planned and preventative maintenance checks, beaware of health and safety rules applying to plant, machinery and tools used to ensure safe working practices.

With relevant hands-on experience of building maintenance and fault finding, you willbe reliable, professional,self-motivated and demonstrate a positive aptitude to work as a team member as well as using your own initiative.

This is a physically active role, so applicants should be comfortable with manual work, lifting and carrying.

The postholder should hold a full driving licence to enable use of the College van to offsite properties.
