Applications are invited for the post of Head of the Undergraduate Medical Education Section within the Education Division of the Office of the School of Clinical Medicine. The post holder will be based at the Clinical School, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the School's Undergraduate Education administration, with responsibility for the organization and delivery of the clinical components of the University’s three medical courses:
- Six-year Standard Clinical Course (admitting approximately 270 students per year; clinical component mainly comprises Years 3‑6)
- Nine-year MB/PhD Programme (admitting approximately 5‑10 students per year; students intercalate a PhD between Years 4 and 5)
- Four-year Cambridge Graduate Course (admitting approximately 40 graduate students per year)
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree and experience as an administrator, preferably in Higher Education and medical education.
- Excellent management, team leadership, change and project management skills.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to form strong professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of assessment procedures desirable.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, assimilate new information quickly and meet challenging deadlines.
