Are you a writer and content editor passionate about bringing campaigns and stories to life for diverse audiences across multiple channels? Do you thrive in managing website content, and translating complex information into accessible messaging? Join us to create and shape content for a world-renowned educational institution as part of a new content team.

At University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), our mission is to make lifelong learning accessible to all. We design and deliver a diverse portfolio of world-class short courses and qualifications. Continuing education is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas in both UK and global higher education. As a recognised leader in the field, tracing our roots back to 1873, we offer high-quality programmes for adult learners, many of whom study part-time for personal enrichment or professional growth.

We're passionate about what we do, and your ideas and contributions will be valued.

The Role

Reporting to the Content Manager and working alongside the Visual Content Creator, you'll be part of a collaborative marketing and external engagement team. You'll write content across our website, campaigns, and wider communications, ensuring it engages with our audiences and supports organisational priorities. You'll champion our verbal identity. And you'll combine creativity with efficiency using AI-enabled tools.

Some of what you'll do:

  • Write, review and edit copy to create engaging, on-brand and search-optimised content, from course pages to campaign copy, across our channels.
  • Develop content aligned to briefs and campaign objectives.
  • Lead in the adoption, use and governance of AI-supported content tools.
  • Manage website content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Develop and carry out search optimisation planning and implementation.

You’ll have:

  • Experience in content editing and copywriting roles producing high-quality written content across formats and channels for different audiences.
  • Excellent ideation, development and problem-solving skills, able to translate briefs into compelling, actionable concepts and resolve content creation and content management challenges.
  • Experience in website content management, including CMS systems (ideally Drupal), and analytics tools.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
