Based in the heart of Cambridge, St Catharine’s College is looking to appoint a full time, permanent Pastry Chef de Partie to join our busy, friendly Catering team, providing a first class service for our college community. The successful candidate will assist the Kitchen Manager in providing high quality meals to our community and conferencing customers, in compliance with Food and Safety Regulations and College polices. The ideal candidate will:
- Have breadth of experience, skills and achievements gained from working within a hotel, restaurant or contract catering environment.
- Have the ability to work as a team member cooking and presenting the required quantity of high quality and nutritious food according to menu and recipe specifications.
- Need previous pastry experience and must be able to prepare a wide variety of delicious desserts, pastries, and sweet goods.
- Be successful in assisting with stock rotation of all foodstuffs. To label, date and properly store all foodstuffs in appropriate storage areas.
- Carry out duties in adherence to the College Food Hygiene Policy, and current Food Hygiene and Health and Safety legislation.

This is a full time post of 40 hours a week to be worked as shift pattern with some evening and weekend work.
Competitive salary range of FTE £31,000 - £34, 000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
