We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Administrative Assistant to support Professor Virginia Newcombe's research group, working across two multi-centre studies focused improving how we diagnose and predict outcome after mild traumatic brain injury. The role will be based in Cambridge, within the Perioperative, Acute, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine (PACE) Section, Department of Medicine.
The appointee will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of these clinical studies, including financial administration, processing participant expense payments, preparing questionnaire packs, data entry and verification, and providing support for project meetings. The role also includes acting as personal assistant to Professor Newcombe and providing cross-cover support with the PACE Section's departmental administrator. The post holder will receive appropriate training as required.
The appointee will have relevant administrative experience, ideally within a research, university, or NHS setting. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately are essential. Experience of financial administration or working within a clinical research environment would be advantageous.
The position will be based in the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Applicants will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and dynamic research environment.
