About The Role

The Lead Delivery Manager will be aligned to a specific portfolio or domain, working in close collaboration with other organisational units and members of UIS to deliver user-facing digital services. You will be working alongside Heads of Product and Technical Lead/Solution Architects in a Three Amigos model to transform the portfolio and provide exemplary and positive delivery across the University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of complex products and services that are delivered by multiple teams or have high technical, organisational or reputational risk.
  • Manage dependencies of varying complexity.
  • Manage complex budget(s) and commercial processes.
  • Define and oversee the delivery strategy for multiple products or services.
  • Provide delivery oversight and expertise to multiple teams in your portfolio or domain area.
  • Work closely with delivery managers to remove obstacles, maintain a smooth workflow and continuous delivery.
  • Line manage and coach delivery or senior delivery managers.

Experience Needed:

  • Experience building and maintaining multiple multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
  • Proven track-record managing delivery of digital products and services and leading the procurement and delivery of complex third-party / software-as-a-services products.
  • Ability to appropriately apply core delivery and programme management skills to a range of delivery settings, applying an agile-first approach.
  • Ability to build strong and productive relationships.
