Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance. Ever wanted to work in an institution that is home to one of the world’s great collections of cultural treasures and research materials? Cambridge has an impressive history of music performance and musicological research and we take pride in our services supporting teaching and research at Cambridge University Libraries and Archives.

This new role is an exciting opportunity to build on and enhance the digital learning provision across Cambridge University Libraries and Archives. Through developing high quality, accessible online resources, you will be able to assist students in developing critical digital and information practices and confidence for their academic studies, and to engage effectively with the breadth of materials we have within the Libraries and Archives.

As Digital Learning Resources Developer You Will:

  • Develop, review and promote accessible online learning resources on a range of digital and information literacy skills, including critical awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with expert colleagues across the Libraries and Archives to facilitate the development of subject-specific digital resources.
  • Improve the user experience of accessing resources, including our pre-arrival resource CamGuides, delivering a cohesive, inclusive resources hub.
  • Build relationships with a range of people, including students, library staff, academics and other educators across the University, to ensure library skills provision fits well with other content providers.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A confident, knowledgeable educator, with experience of developing, delivering and assessing high quality teaching in any setting.
  • Experience of working with digital materials or online learning, and relevant IT knowledge.
  • An ability to engage proactively with a range of people, and to communicate effectively and persuasively in different environments.
  • An ability to work with independence and initiative, managing a complex, diverse workload to agreed deadlines.
  • Previous work experience in a library or information service is desirable, but not essential.
