The Cambridge Trust is a charity providing scholarships to enable young people of outstanding academic merit and potential to take up their chosen course of study at the University of Cambridge. The University of Cambridge is one of the world's leading academic institutions, renowned for its excellence in education, research, and innovation.

The Cambridge Trust operates at the heart of Cambridge’s global academic community. Working with partners across the globe, the Trust provides the largest number of scholarships to international postgraduate students at Cambridge. We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join the Cambridge Trust on a full-time basis for a three year fixed-term contract.

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will research, analyse and translate insight into practical improvements across the Cambridge Trust’s scholarship programmes and awards activity. Working closely with the Awards Team and Director (Awards), you will contribute to shaping the Trust’s future portfolio by researching scholarship provision, identifying opportunities to support underserved communities, and helping define thematic approaches to awards. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening how the Trust measures, understands and communicates its impact, developing data quality, metrics and interactive reporting that bring the Trust’s work to life.

Additionally, you will:

  • Research and develop models, agreements and frameworks to support new and existing scholarship programmes
  • Help design reporting strategies, Power BI dashboards and performance metrics
  • Contribute to database development, data management frameworks and automation of awards processes
  • Support pre- and post-award activity

About You

To be considered as a Business Analyst, you will need:

  • An interest in education and research
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be politically and culturally sensitive
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • To be educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience
