This role leads the Dynamics 365 and Power Apps team within IT Services, responsible for the operational delivery, development and continuous improvement of the University's CRM and low-code platforms. The post-holder will manage a team of specialist engineers, working closely with colleagues across IT Services and the wider University to ensure Dynamics 365 and Power Platform services are secure, reliable, well-governed and aligned to institutional needs. The role plays a key part in shaping service roadmaps, overseeing vendor and supplier relationships, and ensuring services support the University's strategic priorities.
What will you be doing?
- Provide technical and people leadership for the Dynamics 365 and Power Apps service area, ensuring high-quality service delivery and a positive stakeholder experience.
- Line managing and leading a team of Dynamics 365 and Power Apps engineers, supporting their development and performance.
- Taking ownership of the operational management of CRM and Power Platform services, in line with ITIL best practice.
- Overseeing service performance, incident response, change and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring platforms and solutions are compliant with security, architectural and governance standards.
- Working with stakeholders across the University to understand requirements and translate these into sustainable services and roadmaps.
- Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure effective delivery and value for money.
- Leading or contributing to small projects and enhancement initiatives, including delivery planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- Maintaining accurate service documentation, standards and operating procedures.
- Actively promoting modern digital practices and keeping the service aligned with evolving Microsoft technologies.
You should apply if
You have strong technical experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps and are motivated to contribute to the delivery and improvement of enterprise CRM and low-code services within a large, complex organisation.
You'll be a good fit if you can demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including implementation, configuration and change.
- Experience working with Power Apps and Power Platform governance.
- A solid understanding of CRM security models.
- Experience of IT service delivery, ideally aligned to ITIL practices.
- Experience working collaboratively within technical teams, with previous leadership or supervisory experience being desirable but not essential.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders, suppliers and third-party vendors.
- Experience of Agile delivery approaches, particularly Scrum.

- Work pattern: Monday - Friday. 1 FTE. The role holder may be required to perform on-call/standby duties in the course of performing the role.
