Join our team to provide immigration advice to a large and diverse international student population. In this role you will guide students through the UK visa application process and support them through changes in circumstances and immigration challenges. You will work in a regulated advisory environment, delivering accurate, student-focused and compliant advice while supporting the University’s responsibilities as a sponsor institution. You will also contribute to service innovation, design and deliver workshops, and write accessible guidance on immigration matters. You will play an important part in ensuring students receive a high-quality, joined-up service throughout their journey.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing personalised immigration advice to students and applicants in line with IAA code of standards and across a hybrid model: appointments, drop-ins (in-person and online), email, and student-facing workshops
  • Managing a heavy caseload to strict visa deadlines, particularly during peak periods
  • Working collaboratively across the University to solve cases
  • Supporting students with adverse immigration outcomes
  • Designing and delivering student workshops and digital resources
  • Engaging with external bodies, including UKVI, UKCISA and AISA
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement: monitoring sector and institutional trends, analysing service data and helping shape the service
