Bristol Veterinary School is recruiting a Clinical Demonstrator (teaching associate) to join our community of clinical teaching staff providing support for veterinary and veterinary nursing students. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a developing team of veterinary educationalists within the Veterinary School, part of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
You will be a member of the clinical teaching team supporting students and clinical colleagues in Langford Vet practices and external partners. You will work closely with our clinicians, nurses and auxiliary staff to help facilitate clinical teaching across a diverse range of disciplines. You will also be involved in classroom and practical teaching for veterinary and veterinary nursing students. This role is 0.4 FTE, until January 2027.
What will you be doing?
You will play an important role in enhancing the student experience. As a practitioner with clinical experience and a passion for teaching, you will work to support the students in their learning. You will provide feedback and contribute to assessment as well as supporting the administration associated with formal university teaching rotations. As part of the clinical educational team, you will be supported to contribute to the development of teaching and assessment and research outputs in the area of veterinary education.
