We are seeking to appointment two Clinical Lecturers in Global Health and Ageing Research to join the Global Health and Ageing Research (GHAR) Unit.
These posts will provide up to a year of funded post-doctoral training for an academic nurse or allied health professional with expertise in ageing who wants to grow to become an established clinical academic in global health and ageing.
What will you be doing?
- Working within a multidisciplinary, international team to deliver high-quality research in line with the aims of the Global Health and Ageing Research programme.
- Providing clinical research expertise (e. g., nursing, physiotherapy) into an established programme of work, with particular focus on developing training and clinical care delivery tools to roll‑out community-based ageing care in Zimbabwe.
- Developing a comprehensive portfolio of your own ageing research, with collaborations, working towards research independence.
You should apply if
- You hold a degree in nursing, midwifery, or an allied health profession, and a Ph D or be working towards one and in the last year of Ph D study.
- You have experience developing clinical and/or training interventions in Zimbabwe or the region.
- You want to become an independent researcher in global health and ageing research.
- You can manage your own workload, including multitasking across different activities, and different countries, to consistently deliver projects on time.
- You can work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team that spans two continents.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills, showing clarity of expression.
