The School is seeking to recruit a Law Clinic Academic Director who demonstrates a commitment to the highest standards of clinical legal education to join our thriving academic community. The successful applicant will contribute fully to the life of the School and Faculty through teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as supervising students working in the law clinic.

What will you be doing?

The Law Clinic Director will have primary academic responsibility for the Clinic and related activities, with responsibility for the management of the Law Clinic and for fostering external links with local community organisations and legal practitioners. The role holder will contribute fully to the life of the School and Faculty through working with colleagues to develop and lead on additional clinical and educational opportunities for students.

You should apply if

The postholder will be qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, or as a Foreign Lawyer registered with the SRA (Registered Foreign Lawyer), with a minimum of five years in practice and will possess demonstrable ability in managing an effective legal service while ensuring the necessary quality of legal education. The postholder will hold practice experience in areas of relevance to the Law Clinic, which includes areas of English law such as property law (landlord and tenant), employment law, social security law, immigration law, and contract/consumer law.
