  • Support in conducting compliance training and toolbox talks for the direct labour force, enhancing awareness and safety in compliance testing.
  • Contribute to quarterly contractor meetings to review KPIs, health and safety incidents, financial matters, and project updates.
  • Monitoring and analysing compliance documentation, audits, and unsafe situations to help determine remedial actions; with high priority matters being escalated to senior management as needed.
  • Act as a specialist contact for mechanical and gas management, providing stakeholders with detailed guidance on complex legislation and policy changes.
  • Developing and improving the University’s mechanical and gas processes, to help manage both digital and paper‑based reporting systems.

  • Demonstrated experience working in the domestic and commercial gas industry.
  • A proven ability to help drive change in mechanical and gas compliance practices, ideally in a large, complex estate or similar environment.
  • Strong experience in conducting risk assessments, developing method statements, and auditing contractor work to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the capability to provide clear guidance to project managers and stakeholders regarding asbestos regulations and safe work practices.

If you are ready to play a pivotal role in advancing the University’s approach to mechanical gas safety, we encourage you to apply.
