An exciting opportunity to become part of a small dynamic team in Information Services which provides project management and business analysis expertise for designated projects and initiatives. In this role you will be pro‑active in collaborating with colleagues in IT, the wider University as well as external parties, bringing your business analysis expertise to a wide range of change and improvement activities. Although not exhaustive, this will include process mapping and improvement, requirements gathering, supporting testing as well as producing high‑quality documentation.

We are looking for someone with strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills who is also able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. This will see you exercise a great deal of independence, initiative and judgement, with an ability to guide and facilitate discussions, make recommendations as well as to communicate sometimes complex information, both technical and non‑technical in nature, to a wide audience. You’ll need to have a commitment to best practice business analysis, championing the discipline, as well as mentoring and supporting colleagues as part of developing the University’s capability in this area.

To Succeed In The Role, You Will Also Have:

  • Substantial experience as a Business Analyst, including in an IT environment
  • A thorough understanding of the practices, procedures and methods required for effective business analysis, ideally with supporting professional qualification(s) and/or experience of Lean/Six Sigma approaches
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, presentation and written skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with an ability to guide and facilitate discussions with colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Familiarity with change, business improvement and project management disciplines
