An opportunity to join a collaborative team of social work academics, based at the Moulsecoomb campus in Brighton. The University of Brighton Social Work department is seeking a senior lecturer (permanent, full-time) to join the team. Your expertise and experience will contribute to the delivery of high-quality social work education in the School of Humanities and Social Science. We are particularly looking for a social work academic with experience of course leadership and/or involvement with apprentices. Applicants must be qualified social workers and registered with Social Work England (or eligible to register).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the core social work curriculum alongside specialist area across undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-qualifying programmes.
  • Engage with course and module leadership, teaching, assessment, student support and development, academically and on placement.
  • Lead knowledge exchange and research activities within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified social workers, registered with Social Work England (or eligible to register).
  • Experience of course leadership and/or involvement with apprentices.
  • Foundational social work knowledge and experience to underpin teaching.
