About The Role
As a Learning Success Coach, you will work directly with students to build meaningful, structured coaching relationships that empower them to take ownership of their learning. Moving beyond traditional advice-giving, you'll adopt a proactive, capability-building approach – supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and effective approaches to studying throughout their journey. Working closely with academic Colleges and Professional Services, you will deliver timely and targeted support, with a particular focus on students at risk of low engagement or non-continuation, including those from underrepresented groups.
Key Aspects Of The Role
- Managing a caseload of students and providing personalised, flexible support through 1:1 sessions, group activities and proactive outreach.
- Encouraging attendance, engagement and a strong sense of belonging.
- Using student data and insights to identify risk, monitor progress and deliver targeted interventions.
- Collaborating with academic staff, College leadership and support services to coordinate effective student success activity.
- Supporting students to navigate university systems, regulations and available resources.
- Contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of College-level retention and success initiatives.

We’re seeking someone who is student-focused, collaborative and confident working with diverse cohorts.
You Will Bring
- Experience of supporting or coaching students or individuals in an educational or advisory setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate others.
- Confidence working with data to inform decisions and interventions.
- The ability to manage sensitive or complex situations with sound judgement and professionalism.
- An understanding of the barriers to participation and success for underrepresented groups.
Roles will be full-time on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, in person and on both the City and Moulsecoomb campuses with an anticipated start date at the end of August 2026. Interviews will be week commencing 29th June 2026.
