Do you thrive on seeing your pupils excel? We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team here at The Churchwood Primary Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high quality teaching, to nurture, inspire and motivate our children. The role will also have responsibility as the Middle Academy (Years 1-3) Phase Lead and applicants should have a proven track record of impacting upon practice in their current school. ECT applicants are welcome and encouraged!
The successful candidate will:
- Be accountable for high quality teaching that supports high levels of attainment in the middle academy setting and to support, hold accountable, develop and lead a team of people focusing on that area.
- Be able to support colleagues to deliver high quality sequences of learning through effective and inclusive teaching.
- Be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the learning and achievement within EYFS with the support of, and under the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
- Be relentless in striving for excellence.

Churchwood Primary Academy is a one-form entry school situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood in St Leonards, where children aged two to eleven discover the joy of learning through creativity and inspiration. Our motto, "At Churchwood everyone can - everyone can read; everyone can write; everyone can be numerate," drives our high expectations for each child's success. With a nurturing ethos, we respect and guide every individual toward their full potential, encouraging independence and ambition. The academy has a total capacity of 250 pupils; this includes a special educational needs facility for eight Key Stage 2 pupils with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder combined with speech and language communication difficulties. The academy also hosts a nursery for children aged from 2 years.
