Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Term time only (39 weeks)

Hours: 12 hours per week - 2 full days 8.45 - 3.15 (including 30 minute break)

Actual Starting Salary: £6,773.79 per annum (calculated pro rata)

Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience of establishing positive relationships with students and empathising with their needs (desirable)
  • Knowledge of SEN (desirable)
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
  • Confident in supervising children during activities indoors and outdoors
  • Patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning

About Blackthorns Community Primary Academy:

Blackthorns is a warm and welcoming primary academy in the beautiful village of Lindfield, near Haywards Heath in West Sussex. We currently have 210 pupils on-roll in our seven classes, with one class in every year. We have high expectations for our pupils and they leave Blackthorns well-prepared for the next stage in their education as confident and articulate young people with strong foundations in English and Maths. We place great importance on providing opportunities for children to excel across the curriculum and strive to provide enrichment experiences for our pupils to ensure that they have a memorable seven years of primary education.
