The role sits within Finance, Planning and Performance, in the Data Governance & Systems team. This area plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and effective use of data and systems across the University, supporting decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through optimised systems, configuration and automation.
This is a key role within the Data Governance & Systems team, responsible for the effective management, development and continuous improvement of the University’s Finance, HR and Payroll ERP systems.
- Lead the day‑to‑day functional management of the University’s ERP systems, ensuring they are reliable, well‑configured and aligned to business needs.
- Provide expert advice on ERP functionality, workflows and best practice to colleagues across Finance, HR and Professional Services.
- Oversee system configuration, upgrades, testing and change processes, working closely with IT Services to ensure robust and controlled delivery.
- Manage core system data structures, including organisational hierarchies, financial controls and workflow approvals, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, HR, or information systems.
- Significant experience working with ERP systems (Finance and/or HR) in a large or complex organisation.
- Experience of system configuration, workflows, data structures and business process support within ERP environments.
- Strong understanding of Finance operational processes (e.g. payroll, budgeting, procurement).
