The School of Psychology at the University of Greater Manchester is seeking an ambitious Senior Lecturer (0.5FTE, maternity cover) who will lead academic modules and programmes of psychology. The post holder's main responsibilities include:

  • Managing academic programmes and delivering core content on undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes, focusing on modules relating to counselling or psychotherapy and mental health.
  • Assisting in the coordination of the School's off‑campus partner programmes, supervising research projects and conducting impactful research.

The successful candidate will be research‑active and experienced in academic leadership. Applicants are required to prove their right to work in the UK before employment commences. The University of Greater Manchester is a licensed sponsor; however, not all roles are eligible for visa sponsorship, and this position may not meet the criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). Eligibility will be assessed in line with Home Office requirements at the time of making the offer.
