Position Overview

The University of Greater Manchester is a Teaching Intensive, Research Informed higher education institution with distinctive high quality, student‑focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that attract students from all over the world. Key Responsibilities

  • The key duties of the post holder will be to contribute to the teaching, delivery, development, research and administrative support of undergraduate and taught postgraduate MSc Clinical Practice and other related programmes; including the academic and personal support of students.
  • In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the student recruitment and admissions of the Clinical Practice programme.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Professional Membership/Registration is a desirable requirement for this role, along with a first degree and preferably a teaching qualification.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with contemporary experience in clinical Practice.
  • A commitment to undertaking a PhD and membership of the Higher Education Academy is an essential requirement of the role.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate a practical awareness of current developments in Healthcare Education and be able to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between courses and the relevant professional sector.

Additional Information

Successful applicants will be required to prove their right to work in the UK prior to the commencement of their employment. Whilst the University of Greater Manchester is a licensed sponsor, under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) not all roles are eligible for visa sponsorship. This position may not meet the criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). Eligibility will be assessed in line with the Home Office requirements at the time of making the offer.
