Your Mission
Your core mission is to lead the design, development and integration of digital systems that underpin partnership delivery, academic operations and regulatory assurance across the Off Campus Division. You will ensure that our platforms are secure, scalable and future-focused, making effective use of AI-enabled tools, automation and system integration to improve efficiency, insight and user experience. You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing websites and virtual learning environments, ensuring that digital infrastructure actively supports students, partners and staff, while meeting the governance, data protection and compliance expectations of a regulated higher education provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking technical ownership of divisional systems, ensuring effective integration across multiple platforms supporting learning, data, partnerships and reporting.
- Designing and implementing AI-enabled solutions and automation, applying sound judgement to ensure appropriate, ethical and governed use within a higher education context.
- Supporting the development, maintenance and enhancement of divisional websites and virtual learning environments (including Moodle) to ensure accessibility, consistency and operational effectiveness.
- Leading on systems development, configuration and improvement using modern tools and platforms, including workflow technologies, APIs and cloud-based solutions.
- Ensuring that all digital solutions meet data security, resilience and auditability requirements, supporting institutional oversight and regulatory compliance.
- Working closely with academic, quality, data and governance colleagues to translate operational and regulatory needs into effective technical solutions.
About You
You will be an experienced systems developer with a strong understanding of working across multiple platforms and integrating diverse tools and technologies. You will have practical experience of, and a clear interest in, AI and emerging digital technologies, alongside the professional judgement to deploy them responsibly within a governed environment. You will be comfortable operating in a regulated setting, able to balance innovation with control, and confident working collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions that have real institutional impact.
