Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver marketing activities across a range of channels in support of student recruitment and the university’s reputation.
- Web content development: create and upload CMS content, maintain SEO and accessibility compliance, build landing pages, and monitor performance of student recruitment pages.
- CRM: design and execute email nurture campaigns, measure outcomes using the university’s CRM system, and contribute to strategy development.
- Digital advertising and social media: develop campaigns in UK and international markets, collaborate with internal and external agencies, and report on results to inform iterative improvements.
- Campaign content and creative: write copy for prospective student audiences across web, email, social media, print and video; work with marketing managers and stakeholders to generate innovative campaign ideas.
- Brand stewardship: champion consistency of messaging, visual identity and branding across all marketing channels and support, and provide professional marketing advice to colleagues.
- Support events and external partner relationships, including managing the student content team and ambassadors.
- Promote equality, diversity and sustainability within marketing activities and across the university.
Qualifications
- Degree level (or equivalent) in marketing or a closely related field; significant relevant experience accepted if no equivalent degree.
- Demonstrable copywriting experience for a range of audiences, with a focus on accessibility.
- Proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Experience using web Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Digital literacy with confidence in database systems and electronic communication.
- Project‑management experience, including campaign planning and execution.
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear content.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influence skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of GDPR and other regulatory requirements, and commitment to equality and data protection.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under own initiative, and meet deadlines.
