Overview
As a Graphic Designer in the Conference & Events team, you will craft engaging online and offline design assets that support events and marketing. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to align with branding, apply UX/UI insights, and ensure high-quality deliverables for print and digital formats. The role blends event delivery with marketing support and offers development within a large university; you’ll contribute to sustainability and standout design across Campus Services.

Responsibilities
- Create online and offline collateral for Conference & Events objectives
- Develop assets for event websites, abstracts, guides, programmes, templates, bid proposals, posters, banners and web/email materials
- Prepare print-ready files, proofs, and organize archiving to the server
- Apply UX/UI principles to improve user journeys across materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure branding and objectives are met
- Advise on design scope, equipment, software, and production processes
- Liaise with printers and external partners to meet client expectations
- research design trends and measure the effectiveness of design work
- support the design team with additional assets across Campus Services
- promote sustainability through resource-efficient working and contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives
- support managers in sustainability advocacy and uphold equality and values diversity
Key requirements
- Professional experience in a Design and/or Marketing role
- Highly proficient IT and Adobe Creative Cloud suite experience
- Strong knowledge of graphic design, typography, and digital standards
- Understanding of UX and UI principles with ability to recommend improvements
- Experience with print specifications and project planning under deadlines
- Good communication and collaboration skills across stakeholders
- Ability to work in a large, complex organisation and learn university processes
- Familiarity with events CMS platforms such as EventsAir (desirable)
