Summary

The candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and administration, fostering respectful relationships with staff and students. Responsibilities include developing and leading teaching programs, conducting impactful research, and engaging in departmental management and clinical service activities.

Main Duties

Education

• Contribute to pedagogical knowledge, develop teaching resources, and engage in practice-based research.
• Lead curriculum design, innovate digital learning approaches, and support colleagues.
• Participate in recruitment, develop policies, and act as an education mentor.

Research

• Publish internationally recognized research, contribute to research management, and lead impact activities including public engagement.

Management/administration

• Lead departmental activities, represent the department, and contribute to strategic development and external engagement.

Person Specification

• Must be a registered dentist with specialist training, GDC registration, and participation in clinical revalidation.

Learning and teaching requirements

• Proven high-quality teaching with impact, innovation, and contribution to student experience and employability.

Management and administration-related requirements

• Achievement in management activities, committee participation, and promoting equality and diversity.

Clinical Service

• Engage in clinical activity, develop skills, and support teaching programs in Paediatric Dentistry.
