Summary of Role: IMPACT is the UK centre for implementing evidence in adult social care. IMPACT Facilitators co‑design evidence‑informed change projects, work with diverse stakeholders, implement the projects in practice and share learning with the wider team. The role is offered at 50 % FTE for 12 months, based mainly within the facilitator site/host organisation.
Topics and Locations: Hybrid, Bristol – hot desking office at The Vassall Centre, Gill Ave, Bristol BS16 2QQ. Weekly meeting on Thursdays at Grosvenor Rd, Bristol BS2 8XJ. People’s Voice at WECIL, England – focus on co‑production with people who have a learning disability and neuro‑divergent people, developing strategic frameworks and pathways for leadership.
Main Duties:
- Co‑design and deliver an evidence‑informed change project with the host organisation.
- Participate in internal evaluation and share learning across the UK.
- Attend online team meetings (online) and an induction in Birmingham on 23 September 2026.
- Engage with research, practice knowledge and lived experience to achieve project aims.
- Work sensitively with power issues, ensuring inclusion of seldom‑heard voices.
- Champion co‑production, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Disseminate lessons to diverse audiences in creative and impactful ways.
Person Specification:
- First degree of a good standard relevant to this area or equivalent professional qualification or sufficient experience.
- Understanding of public policy, public services, front‑line practice and the realities of people’s lives.
- Experience of applied research or implementation of innovation within social care or related areas.
- Strong commitment to co‑production principles.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- High organisational skills, self‑motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborative and flexible approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses and ability to work reflexively.
- Good networking skills with a variety of stakeholders, including people who draw on care and support.
