Overview
As Biostatistician at CRCTU, you will provide statistical expertise for the design, analysis and reporting of cancer clinical trials. You will collaborate with clinical investigators and contribute to protocols, SAPs, interim analyses and publications. The role combines trial-specific analysis with teaching and methodological research within a leading academic trials unit. This is an opportunity to shape cancer trials and translational research within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Provide statistical design advice for clinical trials and related studies, under senior supervision
- Draft and contribute to statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and protocol sections
- Perform data analyses, prepare reports for DMC/DSMB and support presentations/publications
- Collaborate with researchers across departments for statistical input and data analysis
- Assist in setting up randomisation processes and data collection forms/databases
- Support trial running with statistical input and monitor data quality of ongoing trials
- Contribute to SOPs for CRCTU and deliver in-house statistics training and seminars
- Pursue postgraduate methodological or clinical research and disseminate findings
Key requirements
- Experience or qualifications in medical statistics
- MSc or PhD in Statistics or a relevant higher degree with applied statistics experience
- Knowledge of survival analysis and statistical modelling
- Proficiency with statistical software and clinical trials knowledge
- Ability to convey statistical concepts to non-statisticians
- Strong initiative, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Understanding of Equality Act 2010 and inclusive practice
