Summary

The Human Anatomy Unit in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Infection, Inflammation and Immunology, College of Medicine and Health, teaches topographical anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy to students across various programs. Responsibilities include delivering engaging sessions using diverse methods (prosection, dissection, Anatomage, ultrasound), supporting assessment activities, developing learning materials, and broader involvement in educational research, outreach, and recruitment.

Main Duties

  • Teach anatomy in various settings including small groups, Anatomage, lectures, prosection, and dissection.
  • Supervise class activities and support student learning with technology-enhanced methods.
  • Introduce ultrasound use to students.
  • Monitor attendance and student progress.
  • Advise students and support their learning needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HTA regulations and safety policies.
  • Contribute to creating and updating teaching resources and assessments.
  • Assist in managing anatomical collections and administrative tasks.
  • Engage in professional development and broader university activities.
