We are looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our Sports team at the University's Polhill campus in Bedford. Your duties will include supporting the day to day operation of the University's Sports Facilities, carrying out gym inductions, setting up and putting down equipment and providing a high level of customer service to students, staff and external users. The post holder will act as part of the sports team to ensure the running of facilities but also work on their own and oversee student casual staff on occasion.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Have previous work experience in a sports centre or similar environment.
- Have a good standard of general education; sport related qualifications would be advantageous.
- Have the ability to work using your own initiative.
- A clear understanding of customer service and a friendly approachable attitude to work is essential.
