About the role
The Department of Psychology is recruiting a Senior Lecturer or Reader (depending on experience) to join the DClinPsy programme. This successful candidate will take on the leadership role of Academic Director, provide research supervision, and act as a clinical tutor to students on the programme. This role includes a market supplement in line with the Agenda for Change 8C.
This is a leadership position, reporting to the Co-Programme Directors, and will involve:
- Responsibility for timetabling and academic assessments on the DClinPsy Programme.
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as NHS England and the BPS.
- Overseeing the cohort of students and their progression through clinical psychology training.
- Contributing to both specialist and general teaching topics relevant to postgraduate clinical psychology.
- Supervising doctoral student research.
- Acting as a clinical tutor to trainees.
- Guiding and supporting internal and external teaching staff and markers.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide a supportive teaching environment for the programme and wider department.
- Contribute significantly to the DClinPsy Programme as Academic Director, with relevant management or leadership experience.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality doctoral research supervision.
Additional information
This role is offered on a part-time (0.8 FTE), open-ended basis. The successful candidate will be appointed as either Senior Lecturer or Reader, depending on experience.
