Senior Lecturer (CH12429) – Bath, BA2 7AY
The Department is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Economics, in the education and research family.
About the role
(i) continue producing high-quality and impactful research,
(ii) be passionate about research collaboration both internally and with external bodies,
(iii) engage in knowledge exchange and generation of research income and
(iii) deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as successful PhD supervision.
While we are open to all areas, we are looking to strengthen research and teaching in economic theory (pure as well as applied). However, exceptional candidates in any area of economics would be welcome.
Research in the Department is organised through five main groups and the selected candidate will play a key role in one of these. (I) Macro, Money, and Finance ((II) Microeconomic Theory, (III) Public and Political Economy and (IV) Applied Economics: Labour, Education and Health (V) Sustainable Development.
About you
You will have:
(i) a track record of publications in leading Economic journals and engagement with research funding and/or contracts,
(ii) the ability to play a leading role in one or more of our dynamic research groups, and
(iii) evidence of excellent and innovative teaching and supervision.
