We are seeking experienced Business Analysts at both Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst level to join the Strategic Projects Office within the PPSC. These roles play a critical part in shaping and delivering high-priority strategic programmes and projects that support the University’s Strategy. Whether operating at practitioner level or providing strategic leadership, you will apply strong business analysis expertise to help the University make informed decisions, realise benefits, manage risk and deliver sustainable change.

The Roles

  • Business Analyst – Grade 7 (12 Months FTC) £38,784 - £46,049
    At Grade 7, you will:
    • Work as part of the business analysis team to support discovery and analysis across a range of university functions.
    • Apply established business analysis techniques to understand business needs, map processes and explore options.
    • Engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders to gather insight and support effective decision‑making.
    • Contribute analysis that underpins successful programme and project delivery, assurance and benefits realisation.
  • Senior Business Analyst – Grade 8 (Permanent) £47,389 - £56,535
    At Grade 8, you will play a strategic leadership role and will:
    • Engage directly with University Executive Board members who sponsor strategic projects, as well as senior project leads and Project Board members.
    • Lead business analysis activity within complex strategic programmes, establishing clarity, shaping options and making evidence-based recommendations.
    • Translate institutional strategy into practical, deliverable outcomes.
    • Advise senior leaders on feasibility, impact, benefits and risk.
    • Take responsibility for BA work planning and the quality of business analysis outputs across the programme.
    • Mentor, support and advise less experienced Business Analysts within the PPSC to help build business analysis capability across the organisation.
    • Support governance boards with high‑quality analysis, insight and documentation.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships across senior and operational teams.
