Overview

The Faculty of Science is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Marketing Officer. If successfully appointed, you will join the Faculty\'s Marketing and Web Team working closely across a diverse and interesting range of marketing and communications projects and activities to ensure the effective implementation of a Faculty-wide marketing, communications and recruitment strategy. You will work in a fast-paced and stimulating environment, managing digital campaigns, writing copy, creating content and shaping new initiatives that showcase the student experience at Bath and help to attract undergraduate and master\'s students to Bath, with a particular focus on the international market. You will also help to highlight our research internally and externally, undertake market analysis to inform new course development and assist in launching new courses, or input into University-wide initiatives. You will be confident working with a range of stakeholders at different levels, both within the Faculty, and with colleagues in other faculties and central teams including recruitment and marketing. Joining a team that takes pride in building strong working relationships, developing new initiatives and delivering results.

Experience of working in marketing and the ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships are essential. You should also have excellent organisational skills, be a good team player and be able to successfully manage your workload, as well as stakeholder expectations.

This is a full-time, fixed term post (for ten months) but applications are also welcomed from candidates seeking a 0.8fte (29.2 hours per week) role.

  • Manage digital campaigns, write copy, create content, and shape new initiatives that showcase the student experience and attract undergraduate and master\'s students, with a focus on international markets.
  • Highlight research internally and externally; undertake market analysis to inform new course development and assist in launching new courses; input into University-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders at different levels within the Faculty and with colleagues in other faculties and central teams including recruitment and marketing.

Qualifications

Experience in marketing; effective communication and ability to develop good working relationships; excellent organisational skills; strong teamwork; ability to manage workload and stakeholder expectations.
