We are seeking an experienced professional to lead CAMERA’s marketing activities; promoting our work to prospective businesses and partners (e.g. maintaining website content, blog posts, tweets, LinkedIn etc).
About the role: Working under the guidance of the Directorate, through the Centre Manager, you will lead marketing activities for the centre and will organise and make arrangements for a range of events and meetings; liaising with staff and postgraduate students within the University of Bath and external partners and stakeholders to ensure the success of CAMERA’s events programme. You will also act as the primary administrative link between the Turing Institute and the University of Bath; promoting opportunities to engage with the Institute to University researchers and students to maximise the benefits of their involvement. Excellent communication and organisation skills are vital. You will work with the CAMERA management and studio team, academics, businesses in the creative and healthcare tech industries, and university administration. You must be comfortable and credible operating within these environments. An interest and knowledge of the creative industries sector would be beneficial.
About us: The Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications (CAMERA) exists to accelerate the impact of fundamental research being undertaken at the University of Bath in the Departments of Computer Science, Health and Psychology. CAMERA performs world-leading research in Intelligent Visual and Interactive Technology, underpinned by academic and partner expertise across both core EPSRC research disciplines – Computer Vision, Graphics, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and AI – as well as expertise in healthcare, rehabilitation, biomechanics, musculoskeletal modelling, sports performance, and psychology.
As part of our recent expansion, and involvement in the MyWorld Programme, we are very excited about the opening of the new CAMERA studio which uniquely comprises four state-of-the-art capture stages: Motion Capture Stage, Face/Body Light Stage and Photogrammetry Rig, 4D Volumetric Capture Stage and Virtual Production Stage, with teams working to create the next generation of content capture and creation tools for the creative industries across film, TV, games and immersive Virtual and Augmented/Mixed Reality.
Further information: The role is offered on a 0.6 FTE basis for a fixed-term period until July 2025. Hours can be worked flexibly within a normal working week.
