Job Description

Kitchen Porter - 42 weeks (Term Time) (KD12961) - Bath, BA2 7AYThis role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*. About the role:We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join the University Hospitality Department.The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.The role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). The hours are predominantly but not exclusively day tine shifts throughout the University term time with an increased requirement for evening shifts through the summer.

This contract is for 42 weeks per year with typical non-working weeks being at Christmas, Easter and August. About you:You will have a proactive, can-do attitude and serve as a valuable team player, supporting a variety of tasks and responsibilities throughout your shift. With a positive mindset and a flexible approach, you will effectively manage high-pressure situations and adapt to shifting priorities. You will be capable of working independently, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

You will provide an excellent standard of customer service.This kitchen porter role will be supporting the food outlets on campus with the below:delivering and receiving stockmaintaining excellent hygiene standardsoperating dishwasherscarrying out daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockerysetting up tables and furniture.Further information:Campus Services New Starter bonus*. In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation. Please note this bonus is pro rata part time position.This role is also eligible for the Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*.
