About Us
The Planning, Performance and Strategic Change (PPSC) team brings together various functions to help deliver the ambitious University Strategy. The successful candidate will join at a time when the department is supporting the development of a new Data and Insights Service which brings together cross-functional teams and the latest tools to raise the University’s analytical capabilities and support evidence based decision making.
About The Role
You will advise and support senior stakeholders to inform decision making and measure progress towards strategic goals. Specifically, the role will involve:
- Developing and maintaining a range of performance reports of strategic importance
- Producing analytical studies, reports, and papers – including insights and recommendations – for senior decision makers
- Providing input to inform strategy development and annual planning
- Benchmarking the University’s performance against its peers and competitors
- Supporting the development of the University’s new Data and Insights Service
About You
Experience of working with large datasets and an ability to analyse, interpret and present complex information in a clear and succinct manner will be essential for this role. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills are also essential, ideally with a degree level qualification a relevant subject such as business analytics or data science.
Ideally, you will have prior experience of working in the Higher Education sector and an understanding of the current operating context for a university.
