SETsquared has recently partnered on an exciting new accelerator working alongside the Ministry of Defence’s Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) and our partners to strengthen the UK’s position within NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) initiative.
We are looking for a pro-active, hands-on Incubator Manager to act as the programmes deep tech ecosystem lead, co-ordinate SETsquared’s support and input into the programme and drawing together activity across our network of start-ups, SMEs and University contacts.

The SETsquared Partnership is a world leading business incubator and innovation partnership comprising six research-intensive universities – Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, and Surrey. We provided a range of highly acclaimed support programmes to help turn ideas into thriving businesses.
In this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team along with a wider team at each of the individual Universities within the SETsquared Partnership.
About You
A pro-active and hands-on self-starter with motivation and genuine enthusiasm for engaging and facilitating access across the UK’s deep tech ecosystem, alongside a proven track record of building and delivering outreach, training and support programmes.
You will possess excellent communication skills, together with a positive, professional manner and the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels.
A self-starter with energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality work, attention to detail, and dealing with multiple and varied responsibilities.
With a wide ecosystem across SETsquared and beyond, this is a complex and challenging but stimulating and rewarding environment to work within.

This is a full-time role, for an initial fixed-term period until November 2026.
You will be required to undertake duties outside of standard University hours, including evenings or weekends where the business need arises, and some travelling to London will be required.
A Security Clearance check is required for this position.
