About you

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of administering Linux servers and a working knowledge of Windows operating system.
  • Familiar with HPC technologies, including provisioning, job schedulers and low-latency interconnects.
  • Experience with HPC Job Schedulers such as SLURM, PBS and IBM LSF.
  • Knowledge and experience in using one or more scripting languages, such as Bash, Python and SQL.
  • Experience with any cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP.
  • Understanding of parallel programming methodologies.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of training courses.

Additional information

  • Market supplement of £12,000 is applicable for this role.
  • DDaT New Starter Bonus* In addition to the great benefits DDaT has to offer, you can benefit from a £2,000 New Starter Bonus. £1,000 is payable after you have successfully completed 1 years\’ service. The remaining £1,000 will be paid once you have successfully completed 2 years\’ service. *This bonus is subject to terms and conditions (see attached document).
  • The role title \’HPC Cloud Engineer\’ is for advertising purposes only. If successful, your role title will be Research Infrastructure Engineer.
