Food & Beverage Assistant (Full Time) (KD13078) – Bath, BA2 7AY
This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*.
About the role
The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.
The West hospitality team are seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join their team on a permanent 42-week contract. Training and uniforms are provided. There are opportunities for development and to seek promotion in this role.
Full details of this role are included in the job description, but responsibilities include:
- taking customer orders
- serving food and drink
- working on the tills
- stocking food stations
- assisting with cleaning, clearing tables and catering areas
The role includes a variety of shifts, which vary according to the business needs. These include early morning, lunch periods Monday-Friday, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract. The weekly shift pattern consists of 5 straight shifts only, no split shifts.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience of providing an excellent standard of customer service in a customer focussed environment. Previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry would be an advantage. You should be a good team worker and be able to be calm and professional in high pressure situations, as it can be extremely busy during peak times.
Further Information
This full-time ‘term-time only’ role links in with our busy term time and part of our summer commercial period. You will work 36.5 hours a week on 42 weeks of the year, with fixed time off. Non-working weeks are usually, around Christmas, Easter and August.
