About the role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. This role offers a varied workload, and a typical day may include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas
  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins
  • Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries
  • Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities
  • Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies
  • Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors

Please note, this role involves regular lifting and carrying. The typical working hours for this position are 5:00am–10:00am, Monday to Friday. Very occasional weekend work may be required to cover university open days and events.
