This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter bonus (£1,000) * and Campus Services re fer a friend bonus. please note this bonus is pro rata for part time roles.

About the role:

We are seeking two reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. The role offers variety in your day-to-day tasks, and a typical day could include:

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of your designated areas
  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins
  • Assist with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries.
  • Support room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities.
  • Respond to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of materials and supplies.
  • Provide a visible and helpful presence to students, staff, and visitors.

Please note, this role involves lifting and carrying. We are open to consider a variety of flexible work options but the typical role hours are 5am – 9am Monday to Friday with weekend working on alternative weeks. Please note your preferred work options in your application form.

About you:

This is a crucial role at the University of Bath, and we are looking for a good communicator who is a friendly and motivated person, happy to work not only as part of a supportive and friendly team but also on their own. You will be expected to maintain an excellent level of cleanliness in order to maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment and should have a thorough and methodical attitude to work.
