This vacancy is open for University of Bath students only. The Chaplaincy Centre is located at the heart of the University of Bath campus. The Coordinating Faith Leader and team offer support, care, space and prayer to anyone in the university community.

In conversation with the Coordinating Faith Leader, you would be encouraged to use your skills and initiative to make the role flexible and accessible around university study commitments.

The Chaplaincy Assistant:

  • helps to foster good working relationships between the chaplains and the student groups who use the Chaplaincy Centre;
  • welcome students and visitors to the Chaplaincy Centre when present;
  • assists with the delivery of groups, such as and on Tuesdays during term time;
  • assists with looking after the Chaplaincy Centre to ensure it is available and usable for all, including assistance with keeping the kitchen meeting health and safety standards in conjunction with the Chaplaincy team.

We are looking for a student who can:

  • organise their own work load;
  • offer a regular commitment to help out at Chaplaincy outreach;
  • is invested in the aims of Chaplaincy, willing to support all those who use the Chaplaincy Centre and is comfortable working within an interfaith and inclusive environment.

This is a part-time role, working 4 hours per week for a fixed-term period from September 2026 until May 2027, with regular presence on Tuesday for outreach activities.
